Course Introduction
Assistant Medical Officer or Assistant Medical Officer (PPP) is a career field that has a relatively high demand nowadays due to the existence of the COVID-19 virus that has hit the world.
A Medical Assistant is someone who has the skills and knowledge to treat patients under the supervision of a medical officer. The main scope of duties as a Medical Assistant is to take and keep the patient's medical records. The Medical Assistant Diploma offers a comprehensive education that prepares graduates to enter the medical world. It is a program that equips graduates with the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes as Medical Assistants. Students will learn everything about the human body including the cardiovascular system and the respiratory system. After completing the Medical Assistant Diploma, students will be able to understand, diagnose, treat patients and administer appropriate medications to patients
This program also provides opportunities for students to fulfill their ambitions to work in medicine and healthcare in the private or government sector. The Medical Assistant Diploma training period is for 3 years (6 semesters). 3 1/2 semesters are allocated for theoretical and practical studies while the remaining 2 1/2 semesters are for clinical training at Hospitals and Health Clinics

Passed with a minimum of five (5) credits in the following subjects:
- Malay
- Two (2) from Science / Mathematics subjects (Biology, Chemistry, General Science / Applied Science, Mathematics / Additional Mathematics) choose one (1) from each subject category and two (2) from other subjects.
- Pass in English (preference is given to those with credits in English)
Pass with a minimum of three (3) credits in the following subjects:
- Malay
- One (1) from a Mathematics or Science subject (Biology / Chemistry, General Science / Applied Science, Mathematics / Additional Mathematics)
Have a certificate in a related field from a program recognized by the Malaysian Government (Community Nurse, Dental Surgery Assistant, Public Health Assistant, Health Science Certificate) and - Pass in English (preference is given to those with credits in English)

Passed with five (5) honors in the following subjects:
- Two (2) from Science or Mathematics subjects (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science);
- Three (3) from other subjects; and
- Passed in English
- Local students are required to pass in Bahasa Malaysia at the SPM level for the purpose of registration with MAB
Students shall be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner recognized by the recruiting institution and free from mental illness
Passed with five (5) honors in the following subjects: Two (2) from Science or Mathematics subjects (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science); Three (3) other subjects; and Pass in English Students who need to pass in Bahasa Malaysia at SPM level for the purpose of registration with MAB Students must be medically certified by a registered medical practitioner recognized by the recruiting institution and free from mental illness
